Mossberry was the first ethical boutique in London, selling 100% Fair Trade fashion. Our original inspiration, Francesca has moved on in recent months, and the company has found new energy and ideas with Inga.

Before moving to Scotland two years ago, Inga lived in London for 14 years. In London’s Spittalfield Market, she sold original t-shirts and developed her own range of recycled fashion. Inga is a yoga practitioner, and she and her boyfriend Jamie can also be seen surfing off the east coast of Scotland.

Inga also founded www.soapnuts.co.uk, selling Sapindus Mukorossi, a 100% biodegradable and chemical-free alternative to laundry detergent, soap or shampoo. Also known a soapnuts!


Sustainable chic

Stylish ethical fashion lies at the heart of Mossberry. We offer unique designs from all over the world and our collections are manufactured ethically and have the lowest possible impact on our environment.

That means a lighter chemical load on our planet and of course, ourselves.

Our current collections include tops in lovely block-printed fabrics from Anokhi in India, organic cotton wear from Ideo in France and chic evening dresses from Les Fees de Bengale. And not forgetting popular range of organic cotton children’s clothes from La Queue Du Chat.

So what’s new? We’re very excited about a new collection of Scottish design, both fashion and accessories. Coming soon!


Ethics

Just like you, we want to know who makes our clothes, and how they’re made. So we will visit our manufacturers every year to ensure our ethical standards are maintained. Our first trip to Jaipur in India is just weeks away and we’ll tell you all about it on our new blog.

• We only stock goods from recognised Fair Trade manufacturers and suppliers (you can ask for details).
• Our cotton is, wherever possible, organic.
• Our packaging is recycled, recyclable or biodegradable.
